About the Initiative

Mission

The goal of the Semantic Web Services Status & Strategy initiative is to bring Semantic Web service research, technology and developments further and to adjust the research roadmap and business strategies to recent technological achievements in related fields such as the Web, Semantic Web, Web2.0, or EAI to name a few.

The initiative represents a series of events and an discussion platform aiming at bringing together researchers and practitioners in order to adjust the research direction with the most recent developments in the aforementioned related fields.

Organizers

The initiative is driven by the SOA4All project in collaboration with various other Semantic Web services initiatives and projects.

  • SWS on Mobile devices / networks and Siri (task and domain modelling, NLP-based UIs)
  • Service customization and selection (e.g. Seekda)
  • Unified Service Description Language

The listing includes various ways for modeling and describing services, for parametrizing and customizing services, but also topics that link service computing to the most recent achievements around Linked Data and the Social Web.
